Thousands of individuals in Raoshan Talidas survived because of the bravery of common people in the face of despair. The danger was initially recognized by the cattle producers as the floodwaters rose from the higher half of the valley. They immediately sounded the alarm and alerted the downstream residents of Talidas' lower reaches. Families had valuable time to evacuate before the flood hit full force thanks to their prompt action. This act of bravery and solidarity prevented a mass tragedy and demonstrated that, in the lack of a state reaction, lives are protected by the spirit of community. It is crucial to keep in mind that the tenacity of these farmers and villagers saved numerous lives—a reminder that Ghizer's strength is in its people, even when institutions fail them—despite the fact that more than 50 homes were destroyed and the river is still dammed, threatening to unleash even more destruction.

The majority of Ghizer is situated beside rivers, and the flood in Raoshan Talidas has badly obstructed the water's flow, causing the river to rise into a lake. This blockade poses a hazard to the entire district in addition to being a tragedy for Talidas. The devastation might be unthinkable if the lake breaks, engulfing entire villages and leaving a path of grief and hopelessness in its wake. As the water gets closer to their houses and farmland, Ghizer's residents live in continual anxiety and wait for a significant response. This is a time when the government must act immediately—not tomorrow, not later, but now—before anxiety becomes a disaster and avoidable neglect claims lives.
