SACHIN TENDULKAR THOUGHT ON YASHASVI JAISWAL

In today's Test match against England at The Oval, young Indian batting phenom Ashasvi Jaiswal once again displayed his extraordinary talent.  He achieved his sixth Test century and his fourth against England on Day 3 of the fifth and final Test, with an incredible 118 off 164 balls.  In addition to helping India win the game, this performance cemented his reputation as one of the players who helped India reach the record of the most hundreds in a single Test series.

Jaiswal showed maturity and patience on a challenging field by stitching a vital 107-run combination with nightwatchman Akash Deep.  Cricket greats like Sachin Tendulkar praised his performance, praising his bravery and poise under duress.Jaiswal's path in cricket is quite inspirational.  Despite coming from a lowly beginning, he worked hard and persevered his way up the ranks.  Jaiswal has continuously won praise from both supporters and detractors since making his Test debut in July 2023 against the West Indies, where he hit a century.

He currently averages more than 60 in first-class Test cricket matches and has already scored several double hundreds, including consecutive double tens against England, putting him in the exclusive group of cricket greats like Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar.  He has become one of India's most reliable openers in recent years thanks to his bold stroke play and extended innings.Jaiswal is already well-known in the T20 Internationals.  He has been a vital member of the Rajasthan Royals since 2023 and holds the record for the fastest fifty in IPL history, off just 13 balls.  He has demonstrated his ability to be explosive in the shortest format with more than 700 runs and a century in T20Is.  The selectors still believe in his ability despite his lackluster ODI debut in early 2025.  In order to assume a leadership position off the field, Jaiswal recently moved from Mumbai to Goa in domestic cricket, demonstrating his increasing maturity and drive.Jaiswal seems to have a very bright future in Indian cricket.  He is a serious candidate to be a long-term star because of his versatility, ability to play match-winning innings, and ability to handle pressure at an early age.  Yashasvi Jaiswal will undoubtedly be a pillar of Indian cricket for the ensuing ten years if he keeps up his form, fitness, and desire for runs. He may even become captain in the future.
